The Director of Operations, Elise Oliver, has been with the Commission for four years. Elise joined the Commission right after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis in the Spring of 2020. In Elise’s current role, she is primarily responsible for ongoing projects, specifically involving trade related issues which includes both technical and promotional projects, domestic and international policy, and grant writing to assist the organizations that the California Apple Commission manages, including the California Blueberry Commission, California Olive Committee, California Wild Rice Advisory Board and the Olive Growers Council of California. Elise currently sits on the Buy California Marketing Agreement (CA Grown) Board of Directors, where she helps make critical decisions regarding CA Grown’s domestic and international marketing efforts. Additionally, she also serves as Treasurer on the United States Apple Export Council (USAEC), which is responsible for representing the apple producing states on the international stage.
