Azalea is a native to the Central Valley, with a family who came from field workers, it nurtured her respect for dedication and resilience for those who bring the fruits of the land. Azalea shares a deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions towards agriculture and what it has done for the Central Valleys economy and local families.
Now a driven student at California State University, Fresno, Azalea is pursuing her degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accountancy. This will help equip her with analytical and strategic skills that are necessary to help bring an impact that is meaningful towards the Valley and help with its economic growth.
Azalea actively engages in community work, volunteering towards various organization and is involved on campus as well. She actively participates in committees within the Craig School of Business, helping to foster a collaborative environment and share experiences.
As an intern for the California Apple Commission, Azalea hopes to help within and share a better understanding of the farmer workers to those beyond the Valley and share their stories. She hopes to continue this work and showcase the Central Valleys vital role in the global food supply chain.
